Not custom building a new home anytime soon, so I have what I have and that's plenty. Its about 510sq ft, which is supposedly more than the standard suburban home. It is enough to store my Mav, lawn tractor, push mower, various other lawn tools, two kayaks (ceiling mounted), a SUP (wall mounted), a large tool box, shelves, a compressor, and a vintage 'garage' stereo.

My last home, before divorce, had an 1100 sq ft garage, but the door height was on the low side for some reason and I think some of these new trucks would scrape their roof (or at least the shark fin) going into it.

How many times are people going to make a post of sod in the bed and go *It's a truck, I don't care what people say* you're not woke for saying your SUV with a bed is a truck.

I don't think anyone has stopped you and told you it isn't either. Nobody cares you have dirt in your bed. Nobody cares I tow a car "10"lbs under capacity, 10 pages of people talking to themselves about *well in mine I put 4 extra bags on top and it was crazzzzy* how annoying.

I did that for 7 years. Totally trashed the interior of my other car. But, I respect what you are doing and it seems to fit your need to not need a Maverick.

It's 29 years old now. I have a Maverick in my garage, that wagon is my airport car. It actually held up well until about 3-4 years ago when it started to go downhill. Sad, it was the first car I drove when I was a teen. I may end up doing a mini-restore on it.

I used tarps and a thick rubber mat to protect, as well as towels when hauling things like 2x4's. I can actually haul longer objects in the wagon since I can fold the seats down though, but the pickup but is nicer to get stuff in/out of.

I planning to order a 25 hybrid this summer, so no mav yet. I'm currently driving something super small though, a 2006 pontiac solstice, (which I love as much as my children, sometimes more). I recently retired from work in construction, and when parking at work or at G.C.'s offices I would often have people pull up next to me with their lifted 1 ton dually and look at me like I'm crazy. They'd make some snide remark, so I'd just ask them how many zip codes it took them to turn around.
Drive what you love and don't give a damn about others. Screw em.
