You really gonna pay $650 to powder coat a cheap set of steel wheels? I got the whole set = tires + steelies + lug nuts + center caps on MTC for only $500.

I really wanted a powder coat, but it just doesn't make financial sense on any level. Ended up getting some Chemical Guys Wheel guard for $25 and gave them a good protective coating instead. Wheel covers are $50 but I haven't needed them yet.

There are so many upgrades and add-ons, especially for an XL. Heck, I'm in for $4k in extras without a phone holder. I'd suggest a wait-and-see approach because the juice 'aint worth the squeeze on an XL steel wheel powder coat.

I like it. I was thinking of doing mine in Gold or Bronze if I ever get my Mav and using them for winter set up.

The white is ok. I had a pickup in the 80’s I put those wagon wheel 5 spoke steel wheels on. Back then they were like $35 each. I’m determined to go matte black on my steelies when I get it.

Wheel guard on these bad boys. Tire rack. Crazy that new wheels are the same price as a powder coat. Kinda makes sense just to get a new white wheelset? Keep steelies for winter set or sell them.
