  3. Subwoofer install troubleshooting

Hi @Miguelinfest , I was able to fix my problem (embarasingly I did not set the sound to all seats). But I still may keep the remote. Did you run it to the front seat? Or did you leave it in the back? If you ran it to the front seat where did you run the wire?

@wvpc You’ll find many who say you can get away with only tapping one side. I tapped both left and right ā€˜cause I knew I would be disappointed with some of the alt rock and other eclectic music I listen to where you get a base line from one side only.

Embarrassed to say the problem was the sound settings were set to ā€œDriverā€ instead of ā€œAll Seats.ā€ I was sure I had done this and thought it had to be something more complicated. Big difference. First tune was ā€œComfortably Numbā€ which sounded great. I still may tap the front speakers and get a...

  7. Subwoofer install using rear speaker wires, no cutting or speaker panel removal

@Toddman45 saw on another post that the lack of bass from the 4in speakers may be a capacitor that protects it so it doesn’t blow.
  8. Subwoofer install troubleshooting

Thank you @rallyshark . The woofer is rated for .25ft. The box is more like .23. I put a little poly fill in. This is my first sound mod and I’m definitely a novice. I’m afraid to commit myself to tapping at the head unit ā€˜cause then I’ll have to thread the speaker wire. We’ll see.

Thanks @kkreit01 @Toddman45 & @Tom 71 Maverick 24 Suggestions for best/easiest place to tap front speakers? I’d like to avoid having to remove the front door panel. Lazy.

  16. Subwoofer install troubleshooting

I’ve got my subwoofer tapped to the rear pillar speakers as I’ve read about here on several different posts. I’ve got sound, but not a lot of it. Even with the volume all the way up. Any suggestions? Oops, maybe this doesn’t go in rigs. I’ll repost an electronics.
  17. Subwoofer install using rear speaker wires, no cutting or speaker panel removal

@DrNoobNStein hooked my subwoofer up pretty much like you tapping into the rear pillar speakers. But not much sound coming out of the subwoofer. Any suggestions?
  18. Subwoofer install using rear speaker wires, no cutting or speaker panel removal

I’ve almost finished with my own enclosure build, based roughly on the dimensions you posted earlier. I’ll go with it until I hear how it sounds. Maybe, I’ll go with the Groundshaker if I’m not happy. This is my first delve into building/modifying since I was a teen, many years ago. I spent some...
  19. Subwoofer install using rear speaker wires, no cutting or speaker panel removal

Thanks for the info! Aw, I liked the Dunkin’ t-shirt covered box. Did you notice a difference in quality between your build and Ground Shaker? I know Ground Shaker is slightly bigger. I was kinda looking forward to building my own.
