How / where is emergency key placed/used to manually START 2024 Mav Lariat FWD Hybrid when FOB portion is not working or is lost?

No. You can’t start the Maverick with a key only. That is an anti theft measure. If you’ve lost both key fobs, or they are both not working, you need to contact your local ford service department and shell out around $500.
