I suspect some of the dealers are simply flushing their customers who pre-ordered, and selling them for the mark up. No way to know, but too many people have had their truck disappear. Go to a reputable one like Sanderson.
I have the Maverick XL (3 weeks) ,Carbonize Gray and added a deluxe bed rug, mud guards, Weathertec floor mats and cargo rails months before my delivery. I learned from this Forum each and every option was going to be difficult to fulfill in a timely manner. Good move on my part. I didn't want my Build to sit in the Mexican Desert for weeks/months for those add-ons to arrive from a CCP cargo ship parked 20 miles off-shore in Long Beach! Guess what? They have a waiting list for after-market accessories.. Love my truck. Drove from Panama City Beach to Mammoth Cave (Bowling Green, Ky.) averaging 80 mph and got around 27 MPG. Peppy, comforable, great looks and exactly what I want (Hybrid order coming in August) and I paid MSRP OTD $25,500. The WAIT was AGONIZING! Only 13 orders were filled at my dealership. I was 'Luck 13'! GOD smiled on me the day I watched my 'Unicorn' roll off the hauler.13 of 300? I should buy a Lotto ticket. HA! Happy Trails fellow travelers. You hear it all over the Boards but don't give up! It's on it's way! THIS may be my favorite all-time vehicle (except motorcycles)! I'm almost 70 and this little truck will suit me just fine.
To be exact, orders for 2023 Maverick open up Aug 15 2022. Highly recommend that you have your dealer ready to submit your order at the bell. Just express the trim, any color and drivetrain to get it in the order bank and you can modify options later (except trim and drivetrain). Trying to build exact immediately, could cause months of delay. Make sure the dealer already has the prerequisites (license, dob, phone, etc...) Might even order at multiple dealers to ensure compliance. Check around this site for honorable Ford dealers. Long McArthur Ford, Salina Ks, is one of the best. As of now, LM Ford does not require a deposit to order Mavericks.
The hybrid costs more to make.
Only on the Lariat trim level is the hybrid now cheaper. The hybrid can not have AWD. On the Ecoboost Lariat AWD is standard. ($720 cheaper). This is old news by now.
