When shutting off truck rear click sound

I have questions about shutdown on awd also. The book says shut off key while in drive. Is that different than shutting down when in park, or reverse? I have not noticed noises

What is o.p. transmission setting , park, drive, neutral ?

Only when parking, I also turn on Emergency brake

Not just AWD. My wife's I-3 Escape sounds like a typing class a few minutes after turning off as well.

Mine sounds like a pin sliding into a shaft when the vehicle is turned off. I've wondered what that sound is. Is that what you hear or is it something else?

on my ecoboost, the electronic parking brake sounds like that.

there's all kinds of relay noises when you're near the truck or have just exited, especially if you have the key fob in your pocket. my wife's '22 Bronco does the same.
