This recent halt in production is ripe for more ADM’s, high priced used Mavericks etc…I understand capitalism so thats not the point of this. I’m just wondering what is the forums take on what this will do to the market value of the Maverick……
*full disclosure I have a xlt/4k tow/fx4/xlt lux/safety360/tri fold tonneau w 20 miles on it with no interest in selling, just curious on what this news will do to the value as this little truck is nearing unicorn status 😂

crazy times for sure!

I think he’s referring to the order cutoff.

Yes, sorry I should have clarified
Maybe you should change the title of the thread to avoid accidentally misleading people.

I don't think anyone can make a strong guess about what will happen.

1) 2022 Mavericks are still being built.
2) Many - but not all - dealerships are charging a market adjustment premium in addition to MSRP for unsold Mavericks.
3) Purchasers may or may not be paying that premium. We don't know, and for sure customers aren't admitting to it.
4) What is the 'real' demand for Mavericks compared to the other vehicles sold in America? We don't know. We only know that WE want them.
5) Of the people who 'really want a Maverick,' how many of them have already ordered one?
6) By next August, will 2023 Maverick production be ready to ramp up, and flood the market next year?
7) Or will Mavericks just sort of wimp out because there are quality competitors?

We don't know.

All I know is the Maverick is a hit so far. As long as it stays affordable. If it doesnt it wont be.

It will be interesting to see what the market will bear. Highest price Ive seen asked is 20K over on Vroom for an XL. There will be more competition coming - just a matter of time - if Hyundai can come up with a hybrid or electric model of the Santa Cruz then there would be some real competition to the hybrid Maverick. Honda and Toyota could certainly get something in electric or hybrid compact trucks as well. This inflated price wont last forever.
