What specifically makes the hybrids more difficult to manufacture?

Question? I read in paper today to get the 7500 tax credit the batteries, materials and components have to be from the USA. Also do hybrids get credit or are they just for 100% electric?

From what I understand, it has to be 100% EV.

A plug-in hybrid which still has an internal combustion engine in conjunction with a --typically larger-- battery capable of being charged by plugging it in like an EV. They also usually have more powerful electric drive so they can be operated solely on electric for some distance, potentially almost all the time.

Hybrids like Maverick never qualified. Have to be electric or plug-in hybrid.
