I just got a call from my dealer (Saybrook Ford, Old Saybrook, CT) that my hybrid will not be built this year because they are running out of them, and that 9 out of his 10 hybrids were not being built. He said my options are to switch to an ecoboost, or be first in line to order a 2023 this summer. I told him that's not true, and I know they are still scheduling and building hybrids, and as long as my order was placed before the cutoff it would be built for this year. I asked him if he did the order correctly and filled out the ROVP and he wouldn't give me a straight answer. He asked what I wanted to do and I said I was going to call Ford customer service, and he hung up on me. I put my order in on 10/13 way before the hybrid cutoff and received the email from Ford. The funny thing is I emailed him yesterday just to follow up and I mentioned the ROVP and asked for a confirmation that the order was put through correctly, and this morning is when he called me. So, it sounds like I'm not getting a hybrid from him and not sure if I even want to now because he just seems shady. Luckily I didn't need to put a deposit down. What are my options?

Update: Called Ford customer service @ 800-334-4375, and told them what the dealer said. Her reply was, "ummmm... that's absolutely not true." She looked up my order using the sales code and order code from my preview order, and said that I was in the que to still get scheduled. She did say that the ROVP was not done correctly, like it was unfinished, but from everything that she can see that it is still good to go. I let my dealer know this info, and he said "well our new rep said they aren't scheduling anymore hybrids to be built, but I hope he's wrong and I'm leaving your order as is anyway."
Something is fishy, sounds like the dealers are either badly misinformed or just straight up lying and playing games.

Start calling other dealerships, far and wide, and tell them you may be interested in any of their orders that are declined by customers.

If my order was put through the ROVP correctly can someone else confirm that, and would that mean it would get built still?

Did the dealer get a picture of your drivers license and have you sign an order form with the price?

The only ones that can confirm that the ROVP was accepted is the dealer you ordered from and that was also stated by Tim Bartz in this past Tuesday webcast.

Yes they took a copy of my license and I signed an order form. Forget which one and what’s it called, but it was just the break down of the options I chose.

If you gt the email from ford that your status is ordered you should be fine. You could call the ford customer service and ask if you are in the system.

I see all these posts on canceled orders from 2022. Is there any info on 2023's? I received an email from Ford that they received my order, am I safe?
