After going through this whole process, the best thing to do is order, wait 9 months and then open your email.
You won't need as much Lexapro.

I only received the confirmation email on the same date we ordered and that was it. Ford told me today that I should get a VIN number within the next month and the vehicle will be delivered a month laterI don't see why some people got an email from Ford after thier order was placed and get step by step update emails while some ordered and got nothing. Zip. NADA.
As far as I can tell it seems to be about 2 months from the time of scheduled to be built to delivery to the dealer. Or am I wrong?
Getting information from my delarship has been like pulling teeth. I got the order number but anything else I try to get has been a challenge. They have offered to give us our 10% deposit and to cancel my order. They have also attemptedto have me take off the copilot 360 on multiple occasions...but we have spent 6 months waiting, am not going to give them the pleasure of getting our vehicle in another six months or year for them resell at a higher price.I can't relate to OP in regards to the need of a vehicle while waiting on the Maverick to come. I had a newer car that was doing just what it needed to. I simply wanted the Maverick.
That said, I am completely happy with mine now that it's here and don't regret the 7-8 months I (mostly) patiently waited. The 53 mpgs I got on the way home from work (90% highway no less) only made more happy with the choice.
I'd say, don't give up hope on your order. Be insistant with your dealer when it comes to information. At least have the basics so you can track things yourself and keep on hounding Ford if need be. Find something economical that will suit your needs in the meantime. Hopefully the wait isn't too much longer!
I didn't think about a limit to my letter when I wrote. I wrote why I was upset, what the perceptions I and many of us on MTC were experiencing seeing older orders being passed over for newer orders. I touched on how there wasn't any idea how scheduling process works and my disappointment with it. I also stated how the lack of communication from Ford was losing customers. Dealers should be the ones communcating with us, but as we all know 95% of the dealers out have less information than we do here on MTC! The one dealer, Tim Bartz, is the only dealer I'm aware if that is doing a great job of keeping us informed. I'm sure there are a few out there that are doing better than the majority of the deslers, but clearly Ford isn't talking to dealers.@Delzona how long can my letter to Ford be? I have written two pages about my frustration with the lack of information and the wait that many of us are having without the curtosey of an update. I am not sure if two pages is too much. Thank you.
Thank you! Very helpful. My letter has the same information as yours, I have included a few details pertaining my situation and specific details regarding dealership. I tried to be as concise as point while keeping my point about my disappointment. I will sleep on it, read it tomorrow once more and then sent it. Above all I kept clean, non-abusive and to the point. I hope this helps.
I did the same thing, I reviewed, revised, slept on it and then sent. Glad I could help and hope that you get positive results from your letter.Thank you! Very helpful. Well I know of at least 4 people who have written to Ford and now have build dates. So that's 4 people who have directly expressed their disappointment with Ford and it paid off. Would that happen with everyone who wrote to Ford? No I doubt it, but it's good to know that Ford is listening to those who have taken the time to write. Maybe if more people did then a real change could happen and Ford would have an ordering that made sense. Instead of random hodge podge system where older orders are passed over for new orders.Haha this dude calls Ford once a week......and some of you guys on here wonder why the fuck the CSRs at Ford give you attitude.
I'm sure more emails and more calls will get your truck to you faster....![]()
I purchased my Maverick from Holman Ford in Maple Shade, NJ, and I had a really positive experience throughout the whole purchase. I know it does not help you right now, but if you are looking for a dealership to work with in the future, and you are in South Jersey, they have been extremely kind and honest with my Maverick and with previous cars my family purchased there.Thank you! Honestly my dealership sucks, they are the worst, and I wished I had done more research before going with them. They have already tried to increase the price on me, they have overcharged me on the sale tax, they are unresponsive, and to be honest once I get the Maverick I hope to never have to deal with them. For now, I don't want to get more involved with them but will reach out to other dealership. If I can switch my order to a new dealer without having to start from zero I would have done so, but for now am stuck with this people. Unfortunately the family members with extra vehicles are too far away from me. Thank you for your input, I will reach out to a dealership I saw someone post, even though is two hours away from me, I rather have reliable/trust worthy people.
yea that smart mouth frico joe needs keep his mouth shut. WE dont want you gramer opinions "JOE" from the stupid state of Cal,he/haIgnore the grammar Nazi.
You're asking for legitimate advice and for someone to demean your writing style is inexcusable.
I'd say look around for interim transportation keeping in mind that you'll probably get at least what you paid for it when your Mav comes in and it's time to sell the interim.
At any event, don't give up on the Maverick. It is worth the wait.
