What does all this information mean?

Ok, so I don't think my dealer gave FORD the email that I wrote down. I placed my order on the 7th of September and I never received a confirmation email. I called my salesman and he said the order was placed and gave me the order code. I had to pester him for a couple weeks to get my Sales Code and now that I got him to send me my order preview, I have the Sales Code. This morning I gave FORD Marketing a call to confirm that I indeed have an order placed and she also informed me that I have a VIN assigned to me. My understanding was that when you received your VIN, your vehicle had been selected for a build date. Yet here I sit with a confirmed order, a VIN, but no build date and no email saying that I was selected for production.

I guess I just want to know what the hell is actually going on with my order. Do I need to contact my salesman to make sure FORD has the proper email, do I need to ask for the official DORA from my dealer, am I overreacting to why I don't have a build date? I feel like i'm in the dark on the entire process and i have to claw my way to answers.

Has anybody here dealt with these issues that can help guide me to getting the information that I need?

Call your dealer and ask for your order number and vin. They should be able yo provide you with both. If In production they can send you a copy of window sticker which had all info you need.

You can also compare the VINs last 5digits to the folks getting scheduled now. That will give you sense of when it will go on the line. They are doing around 600-800 a day. It’ll give an idea.

Sure, just ask on the last couple of receiving scheduled email threads. Folks are very helpful here and I’m sure they will let you know.

Sure, just ask on the last couple of receiving scheduled email threads. Folks are very helpful here and I’m sure they will let you know.

For example those of us that got built the weeks of 10/4-10/15 were in 8000+-9000 range. I was 008448 and built on 10/14.

The order tracker on FORD has the VIN matched up to the vehicle that I ordered, I wonder what happened that got that mixed up with your Maverick

I was scheduled for 11/15, then got moved back to 11/22 my last vin #’s are 20930

So I should be sitting pretty good with the last 5 being 21867

I think it may be safe to say that hybrids with a low VIN will be built around the same time as Ecos with much higher VINs, just due to the restrictions on Hybrids from the Ford side of things.
