What can be changed on order without losing your spot??

Now that it seems like us hybrid orders won't get made in MY23, what can you change on your order and not lose your place in line for either the MY23 or MY24? I would keep the hybrid, but change from XL to XLT and add the lux package and a few other things. But I wouldn't want to get screwed out of line.

I would avoid adding any of the most recent Key Constraints items unless you REALLY want then. I forgot what thread had the list though.

Any accessory you can add at the dealer such as a dash cam.

Dealer accessories. Depends on what your production status is really. Adding all those things and a total model change? You are better off waiting for '24 orders to open up.

I changed from XL to XLT a couple weeks ago and got mine scheduled with the most recent schedule round last week. You should probably got with the most expensive, non-constrained stuff you can. Ford likes its profits, and it seems in general, they are prioritizing the most profitable orders. That, and dealer allocation, is probably the big method to their madness.

I changed the color and added the SIBL, then got scheduled the next week. Could have been random chance but who knows?

Here is what I know (and it not much): when a hitch became a constraint I asked my dealer if I should delete it. The dealer response was " the last time we made such a change the order was lost". Since we are so close to the end of 23MY I would not do so. Others have made changes without a problem. It could be that my dealer is not very "good". It is your call, but so many changes seems not wise; who knows. LOL

I’m beginning to think it may have more to do with the Dealer allocation and/or priority number. I added copilot assist and SIBL after I received my build date and about 5 weeks before production. I checked the window sticker and my changes made it.
