What are your Solar eclipse plans?

I live in Western NY. Tens of thousands of visitors are predicted to come to our area to witness the Solar Eclipse. NYS is handing out free glasses for the eclipse. Traveling isn't recommended unless absolutely necessary. Even schools across my area are closing on the 8th.

What do I plan on doing? Absolutely nothing. I'm going to stay inside, and it will be "business as usual". Knowing the weather in this area in the spring, there will probably be a 99% chance that it's going to be cloudy and rainy that day anyway.

Sigh, checking the long-range forecasts, it looks like the weather is going to suck almost along the entire line of totality. Where I was planning to drive to, West Texas, they're saying >90% cloud cover and >50% chance of thunderstorms. It's only when you get to update NY that there's a better than 50% chance of clear skies. Ah well, I guess I'm going to miss this one.

I'm in the center of travel, plan on scheduling a nap while the smoker does it's magic.

SE Michigan will be near totality but, of course, I will be at work...but since I'm out and about I can carry my library-issued glasses and maybe see some of it...though odds are near 100% that it will be cloudy/raining anyway. We saw the last one and that may have to do.
