I have a LoboAir, which recently became annoyingly intermittent. Following Youtube advice, I tried a new cable, and everything was good again. Many of these cheap devices come with even cheaper USB cables - that may be as important as the brand you choose.

I got CarlinKit from Aliexpress and been using for a week now. Much easier. Also plugged in a old charging pad I had for wireless charging.

I just found this on AliExpress: $73.18 | CarlinKit 5.0 Wireless CarPlay Android Auto Adapter 3 in 1 Wireless Car Adapter for Mazda Toyotal Peugeot Volvo Kia Spotify

I've been using Ottocast in my Lincoln and Maverick (previously Tacoma) for years with no problems. Granted I use an Android phone, so I can't speak to the reliability for Apple. The model I have is more expensive, but they offer lesser expensive Apple-only models. As an aside, I also used the Motorola MA1 wireless adapter, and it was more troublesome.

Well I went with this device due to its micro size, and I literally just installed it. It installed easily, and preliminary tests of using Siri and playing some Deep Purple tunes while looking at Maps for a pretend destination, all went fine.
I'll give it a few days and then do a follow up, but initial thoughts are a thumbs up!

Initial report: The dongle connected right up to my iPhone as it should, worked great with Maps, Siri, and played music from my phone.
I'm no power user by any means, but so far it's doing exactly what I wanted it to do ... wirelessly

Installed this one over the weekend, and it is running great. Fast to connect. I plugged it in and used a double stick tape (included) to fold it back under and affix it out of the way and invisible to the eye except for the USB end plugged in. Works perfectly.
