I recommend using the USB Cable that came with your phone. They are usually the best for data and charging. Also, check the phone immediately after connecting because sometimes you have to click on certain settings to allow the phone to connect to the Ford system.
If none of that helps, see the dealer. You may have bad wiring or something else going on in the truck.
