USB-c Apple cable to usb-c Apple phone

When I hook up my phone with Apple cable for apple car play a message on the screen says this device not supported. I’ve tried a few different cables all the same. It did work a few times. Only had the truck a month. What does this mean.

Use usb A to C and you’ll be fine.

I’ve used both versions on mine (sync3 radio) work without issue. Swap cable types see what happens. Reset radio if issue continues and make sure your phone on latest update

I use a 3 ft ANKER "A to C" cable and it works fine on my Android phone. I originally used a "C to C" cable that also worked, but the ones I have are all 6 ft and a bit too long.

Yes I think some of those C to C are maybe only good for charging. I don’t know but as I have seen you state before the quality of the cable can be a factor as well.

I’ve gone to wireless and pretty happy with the results.

I bought a 12” anger cable C to C it worked couple times now nothing tried usb to usb-c same problem it’s not supported. I’ll try radio reset

Make sure phone is up to date.

You can use a wireless adapter. Otherwise yes you must plug in.

Without a wireless adapter, you need a cable for both AndroidAuto and apple car play.
