Not sure what to make of this!
Drove 9 miles since the first pic.

First pic was before the OTA update.

Second Pic was after, before driving in the morning.

Third pic after driving 9 miles total to work and back. WTF?

First pic would indicate 710 miles on a tank.
Second would be 278 miles on a tank.
Third would be 120 miles per tank.

Strangest thing I've ever seen on my trucks.

Update: changed the oil, and gassed up. Drove 544 miles on 13.2 gallons. So it appears it is showing empty quicker with this new calibration. That and it probably needs to relearn. Drove 1.9 miles home after fill up, and going through the drive through. Truck now shows 363 miles to empty (after going 544 miles on the last tank) and registered 87 mpg on that short trip home. Truck feels smoother and easier to keep in EV mode. Hopefully this tank is even better, but with colder weather coming, I doubt it. My last tank lasted me 7 weeks, mostly

Mind did the same, but seemed to correct itself over the next couple of days. The morning after the OTA, it said 141 mte, the night before the OTA was around 250. After 2 days of 85 mile round trip commute it now says 160 mte. So it seems be self correcting.

When I gassed up it said 2 miles to empty, but only took 13.2 gallons.

I think they recalibrated it to show empty earlier.

Only because someone pointed out the discrepancy in another thread after the update, I noticed mine recalibrated itself after a day of driving around. Since it's always recalibrating depending on how the vehicle has recently been driven that number seems fairly meaningless for a future prediction, especially if you've been driving in town and are set to head out on an interstate run, or vice versa. Guess it depends on what you prefer and get used to - deciding to start looking for a gas station when M to E gets to 100mi, or filling up when the fuel gauge gets down to 1/4. I prefer the fuel gauge so if the M to E number suddenly disappeared I might not even notice.

I had different oddities after the OTA update at 1:00 AM on 9/25. When I started the truck, there was static coming from the radio. The tuning had been changed to a non-station. Then I noted that my phone was not connecting. I had to "add" my phone back.

Ours went through the update after 1 am this morning. Last night we had 207 miles to empty this morning it is 107 miles to empty. Fuel level on the gauge is in the same spot.

I had none of that. Everything seemed normal except the gas gauge reading/MTE.

It can take 250 miles to fully calibrate.
That's easy to see when you set it on cruise control for all 250 miles.

Difficult to see with short trips, parking on inclines between trips, varied speeds, etc.

I think you are jumping to conclusions.
You don't have a large enough data set to conclude anything at this point.

Be patient. In all likelihood nothing changed except the truck's history got erased.

Mine said 330 MTE after the update. Four days later and probably about four hours of driving, it now says 334 MTE. It's getting much closer to being correct again.

Agreed, but just stating what happened after the update.

As I’ve said before…………
Just because I go 2-for-4 in a middle of the season game, doesn’t mean I’m
a .500 hitter. Need many more at-bats to get reality.

The engineering menu, if any 25MY drivers want to see before and after, has the figure it's using for DTE shown.
Actually maybe, a couple values regarding DTE.
This is the Press and hold the Enter button right side of steering wheel.
Turn key to On (maybe Acc mode works too). So for push-button start, no brakey.
Wait holding Enter button until the green ET shows up hopefully not hidden by popups - so buckle all the belts!

Instant Fuel - last mpg value seen, or what is shown if your Trip option shows it & not EV mode.

FLPM - Fuel Level Percent of Maximum (insert your decimal for correct reading if 4 digits)
if you get a figure, mine was not started, just in On key position. So needed to start.

DTE_MC_Value - DTE Message Center Value, what you already see, but also Instant while running.

RAFE - Running Average Fuel Economy, likely what got reset. But see what it is.
