I was checking my security camera's to see how things looked around my house while I was away. I've two garages. In the garage I park my Maverick, I see there was an event where my trucks head and tail lights flashed for just a second. Nothing happened before or after in the garage for hours. I was not home. My FOB was way too far away to be able to have done this even if accidently pressed. I also was not near my phone at the time.

I checked the alley cam and there was no vehicles passing that might've triggerd the alarm somehow. A vehicle did pass, but it was after this occurred.

I'm not concerned about it as the truck is plugged into a battery tender, so a parasitic draw won't deplete my battery. Just curious as to what could've caused such an event?

Maybe the tin foil hat folks on the forum aren't so far off after all? 🤔 :ROFLMAO:

If I had to make a guess, Ford pushed some kind of update to the system OTA and caused the system in the truck to reboot.

Or one the many electrical issues that cause battery drain.

Icegradner, I think you may be on to something. I signed into my Ford Pass web access and for the first time is says "Software Updates Disabled". I have looked at that many times, even very recently, and it had always said "Updated". So, something changed.

I have good wifi signal in the garage and my truck was always able to connect with it before?

I don't think this could be related, but I'll mention it anyways.

The las time I drove my truck I noticed my GPS was in 3D mode and showed buildings. Not like a satellite 3D view from a aerial photo, but with 3D shapes of building without fine detail. I did like the change alot, but had never seen that before and did not select it. It just changed on it's own.

I use Android Auto, so believe that change would be related to that and not to the truck, unless a Sync 3 update was also needed for that feature to be enabled?

That's purely an android auto/ google maps thing.
Often they'll update the app or phone OS and change settings- you may be able to enable it in settings.
