Have a 2022 with Area 51 paint color. Have noticed really visible water spots with white around the edges if I rinse my truck off and don’t dry it. For example washing pollen or bird poo off with the hose.
Never had a vehicle where the spots are so noticeable ,have a silver Malibu and a red Ford Focus that aren’t nearly anywhere as bad. Not a problem when it rains, nowhere near as noticeable. I have municipal water but don’t have a softener so hard water is part of the problem but it seems to affect the Area 51 a lot more.
It’s even a little noticeable when I wash the truck and dry it right away with microfiber towels, can see tiny little spots in some areas. I keep the truck waxed with Turtle Wax Ice Seal and Shine, it beads up nice and all that.
Anyone else notice this issue?

Yes, I noticed the same thing. It looks pretty bad, especially on my black truck. I think I'm going to get it ceramic coated in the spring. Hopefully, that will fix the problem.

Haven't seen this . I wash truck with reclaimed water . I like 51 because it doesn't show dirt even when driven on gravel paths .

It will lessen the problem.

It's the minerals in the water. And if left to evaporate on the truck, the water will still leave behind any minerals in it. With ceramic coating, you can easily remove most of the water droplets with just a leaf blower.

I’m sure a water softener might help but that’s not gonna happen. I do use a leaf blower when I wash the car but not if I’m just rinsing it off.
Just thought it unusual that water spots are a lot more noticeable on Area 51 compared to other colors.

Just be glad you don't have dark blue or black, it's worse.

I had good luck getting the water off with a leaf blower.

I also have a rain barrel and the water from there doesn't leave spots on anything.

I couldn't get them off my area 51-even after repeated waxing.
Had to use vinegar to get rid of them

Have read about drying agents but don’t know much about them or how/when to use it when washing truck. Anyone use this or think it would help with the spotting?
