Water on the passenger floorboard on new 2025

I’ve had my Lariat for about 5 months, and the last few big storms in town resulted in water on the floorboard. I am familiar with this issue because it happened to my Explorer ST when a new windshield was installed. Water draining in through the cowel, and in the cab through the air filter. It matches the same effect as that one on my all weather mats..

Has anyone had ford address it officially or is there a TSB? I didn’t see any specific posts, but I did see a few others that have seen the issue and there were some responses. Mine is still under full warranty and I’ll take it up to get it addressed. I’d just like to reduce the turn around time since this is going to be painful like always when dealing with the overrun service departments of the last few years.

Top 3 2025 Ford Maverick Problems

• Engine Problems: Exhaust heat exchanger problems, vehicle catching fire while parked
• Electrical System Issues: Vehicle catching fire while parked, faulty warning lights
• Structural Problems: Water entering cabin during rain, fresh air intake valve defective

Seems to be a known problem. Have you dealer check it out. Use the Ford RAV program if they don't fix the problem.

Likely defective cowl air intake cover . Open up your glove box, take out the filter, have someone pour water on windshield / general wiper area. If you see water going into the HVAC , your cover is defective.

I'm not talking about the top cowl cover. There is another cover underneath...
