I’m sorry, but how does a person not know about condensation coming from exhaust?
The vehicle sat for 2 days not driven and yes I know about condensation but this was in the middle of the muffler not near the tailpipe

To be honest, I haven't seen condensation drip from the middle of a muffler either. Maybe because I've only driven older cars, before they put condensation holes further up the exhaust system? Based on what others have said, this is now seems commonplace.

Fair enough and also something I thought about as well, but then I remembered I learned about condensation back in elementary school
They taught that in elementary? I thought I was born with it?

yesterday when I pulled out of the driveway, and got out to close my gate, I noticed water dripping under the rear of the truck, thought it was from the bed, but that was dry, so got down on my hands and knees and it was dripping off the bottom of the muffler??? I have the XL Hybrid, and the truck had sat for 2 days and was only started for a quick minute to show a friend how quiet it runs. anyone else notice this issue, taking back to dealer today to point it out.= Not coming out of tail pipe, but bottom center of muffler
Appears to be damaged one side is still attached to the outer band and the other side is pushed is. I think you hit something. But the dealer will make the call

I saw the same thing happen to my hybrid today. I figured it was condensation, but concerned because it was dripping from the muffler not the exhaust pipe. Happy to hear this is perfectly normal.

It may be a condensation drain hole dripping

My hybrid often gets parked on the street with a slight nose up incline. Leaks water all the time, at times alot.

As previous posters have stated, this is normal due to the type of engine and the presence of an exhaust heat exchanger that cools the combustion gases sufficiently to turn water vapor to liquid within the muffler.

Normal there’s a relief/hole to drain condensation out

Hopefully this thread will end. This is such an old school moment. Learned this in auto shop in 1975.
