I can’t for the life of me figure out how to increase the volume for the voice commands on my navigation system without affecting the volume of the entertainment system in my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid - the voice is so low it’s impossible to hear the audible instructions 🤷🏼‍♂️

Dave,
On my 2023 hybrid XLT.
I adjust the volume while the directions are being given.
That works for me.
Thank you Glenn I’ll give that a try and see if that resolves it - Happy Holidays

Following - I have the same issue in my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid . I thought I've tried turning up during the directions, but it's so quiet my timing is often off. If it works for you, I'll try again.

I have tried asking the voice assistant to turn it up, but it said the volume was already all the way up... so 🤷‍♀️

An easy way to figure out the timing.
Start your directions from your house to some place you know fairly close. You know in advance the turns that the system is going to tell you to take. That way you're ready.
Good luck,

The easiest way I know, is to adjust the volume for NAV during the actual voice guidance. It is the same for Bluetooth phone calls, adjust the volume during a call. This is the same for most vehicles with Bluetooth and NAV.

-Complicated instructions-

For SYNC with Built-in Navigation (SYNC with Nav "P")
  1. Press Menu: Hit the physical MENU button on your center console.
  2. Select Feedback: Tap the "Feedback" tab on the screen.
  3. Adjust Volume: Find the "Voice Volume" setting and turn it up or down; use the "Test" button to hear it.
  4. Ensure Prompts On: Make sure "Navigation Guidance" is set to "On" in the Navigation Preferences.
The key is adjusting the volume during the actual voice guidance.

If your Music mute's during NAV voice guidance, Use a different audio source if you are streaming music from your phone.

I am hoping this procedure doesn’t affect the radio volume so I don’t have to constantly adjust both I plan to try this later today 🤷🏻‍♂️

You asked about radio volume.
It will not affect your radio volume.
Provided you are adjusting it while the voice commands are being given.

For Apple CarPlay & Android Auto (Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps)
  1. Start Navigation: Begin a route in your preferred app (Waze, Google Maps, etc.).
  2. Wait for Prompt: Listen for the voice assistant (Siri, Google Assistant) to give directions.
  3. Adjust Volume: While the voice is speaking, use the steering wheel volume buttons or the center console audio knob to change the level.
  4. Check Mute Icon: If still no sound, check the app screen for a muted speaker icon (often near the map) and tap it to unmute.

Either way, it effects the music volume during voice guidance.

The difference is:
-When everything is coming from your phone (NAV & music) it mutes the music during voice guidance.
-If you have a different audio source, (USB, SiriusXM or AM/FM radio) the music volume is lowered during voice guidance.
