Just wondering if anyone has tried to vinyl wrap the many cheezy and cheaply made plastic areas within the Maverick's cabin? If so, can you share what you have done?

I'm having a hard time "wrapping" my head around just how much cheap looking plastic Ford put inside the cabin. My $20K Honda has a better quality materials than my $30K Ford.

So, I'm thinking about covering much of the interior plastic with some heavy duty 3M black carbon fiber vinyl. It's not much of a change in material from the plastic, but at least it will look better than the "1970s kitchen counter" blue-gray looking plastic dash I have now.

I had a little bit of 3M carbon fiber vinyl from when I used have the shop.
I didn't know how well the adhesion would be to the Plastics. It seems to be pretty good, as long as you haven't treated the plastics with anything.
I hope you have a steady hand for trimming.
Don't forget pattern matching.
With the carbon fiber pattern if you don't match it it can look pretty crummy real quick.
Even using a regular roll of say flat black vinyl. You would want to unroll a sheet the width of your dash.
Cutting your pieces from that sheet keeping the orientation the way it was laid out across the dash.
I wouldn't use anything more powerful than a hair dryer to heat the vinyl where needed.

Oh by the way.
What year, model and trim is your Honda?

I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that many people buy a vehicle when there are so many things that they hate about it
It WAS cheap.
Folks will buy the slate because it's cheap. Then they'll comment about the lack of range, the lack of color, the expense to change the color(paint or wrap), the expense to change the range.....etc.

Humans like to bitch. Easier to say what they hate than to say what they like, hopefully, because it is a shorter list.

The plastic looks to me like a dashboard. Are you old enough to remember dashboards? They were metal. Hard. Painted. Like my '66 Chevy pick-up. A dashboard.

I do understand that some people like vinyl hard padding with fake stitching to make it look like Chinese knock-off Louis Vitton luggage, but then you shouldn't by a cheap truckette.
