VIN created Sep 8. Prod Date 9/26. Now back to “Order confirmed”

I got a call from the salesperson at my dealership Friday saying my truck I ordered on Nov 5, 2021 will be produced on Sep 26th and should arrive within 4 weeks of being built. A few hours later I received an email from Ford with the VIN and production date.
When I click the link in the email now though the truck has reverted to “Order confirmed” without a production date.
Curious if anyone has any insight as to if this is just how Ford is preparing the MY22 orders that are being rolled over to MY23.
I thought the production date seemed implausible for a vehicle that had just received a VIN the night before.

Read your email again. It should be saying something like this -

" We are excited to let you know your 2022 Maverick XLT has been scheduled for production. Your vehicle is scheduled to be built the week of September 26, 2022. "

The tracker will show "Order Confirmed" until it goes into "Production" which means it is being built, not with just a build week or build date. We both should be getting an email with either a build date and/or our trucks being in "Production".

You’re right about the email.
However I could have sworn the tracking page linked in the email also said production date 9/26 at the top of the page, but when I go to the tracker now it just says “Order confirmed” instead. Maybe I mistaken and remembering wrong, but I could have sworn the info on the tracking site changed for me.

I got a VIN mid July and a build week of 9/5 and mine didn't show "In Production" until 9/1. And even then, the "In Production" part of the tracker didn't fill in a date until 9/10.

Leading up to that all it said was "Order Confirmed".

So you're good.

As long as you have a VIN number, you are fine !! Keep checking the Ford Tracker for your window sticker.. It will pop up sooner than later.

I got that build date too sept 26th. But got email from Ford. Got it by calling and dealer confirmed.
