VIN assigned - but no update on tracker

After my shocking phonecall last week with Ford Chat where I was issued a VIN my excitement has rekindled, I had accepted that I wasn’t going to get built and roll over to MY 23.

However, when I go to the tracker it still only shows order confirmed, it does show a VIN assigned to my order though. Was hoping it would have more info.

Anyone else experience this? Ford rep told me estimated build week of 10/10, and I know many have experienced numerous date changes, just wondering if my hopes got up prematurely lol.

If you get a VIN, doesn't that ensure that you are definitely getting the truck built? They can't issue VINs, then not build the truck, right??

Yes, when you are assigned a VIN, your truck will be built.

The tracker will continue to show "order processing" with the VIN until the status changes to "In Production".

I had a VIN since early July and on 9/1 finally switching from "Order Processing" to "In Production" and generated the window sticker.

Yes, when you are assigned a VIN, your truck will be built.

....it won't have any chips, but it'll be built and put in the desert with the rest of them

Got a Vin months ago. Tracker still does not function for me. Build week pushed back 4 times. Still no build day.

Same here have a build date of 9/26
Tracker just shows the order not the est build date. I heard that from Ford and my dealer. If I hear nothing by the 26th I will.call again. Expected to be pushed back. Sometimes I wonder if Ford ever had an order that was not pushed back.
