On this special day, as we honor the contributions and sacrifices of our veterans, let’s take a moment to dive into a fun yet meaningful discussion: If you could choose a different truck besides the one you currently own, which one would it be?

Whether it's for its rugged durability, off-road capability, or simply its iconic style, trucks have always been a symbol of strength and resilience—values deeply tied to the spirit of our veterans. So, let’s hear it: Which truck would you pick and why?

And for those who aren’t veterans, we’d still love to hear your opinions—every perspective is welcome!

Let’s celebrate this day together by honoring our veterans and sharing our passion for trucks!

For me, the only answer is I wouldn't. F150 and up, silverados, and ram are too big for anything I need. Smaller like the gladiator, taco, ridgeline, colorado, ranger are either crazy overpriced or not fuel efficient enough. The only one that is interesting is the Rivian but that price tag is awful.

If I were a rich man, a loaded Ranger Raptor would be nice.

EDIT: I still own my old 2002 Ranger XLT 4.0l. A true beater but like a Timex, it has taken a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

F150 Limited Crew cab. Top-tier luxury. Two wheel drive, don't need 4WD to get into the mall parking garage! 😀

Why an absolutely weird “veteran thought”
I was thinking the same thing....what does one have anything to do with the other?

ADD ON: Posted the same "poll" over at Bronco6G as well....

I looked at the Toyota Tacoma, but they were really pricey.

Yeah I'm over on B6G (not frequently anymore) and noticed the same. In general I find Wolfbox a bit over the top but this one is just disingenuous by tying it to a holiday for veterans when it has zero to do with....veterans.

Probably a Ford Ranger, simply because it provides the next best MPG at the most similar size.

While the Santa Cruz is similar size to the Maverick and provides similar ease of parking and would also fit in my garage, I can't get over it's poor mileage and just how weird looking it is.

Next on the MPG/size list is probably the Honda Ridgeline but I think Id just move up to the F-150 in that case. The Ridgeline is similarly but not quite as fugly as the Santa Cruz to me.

More than likely a Ranger, had 3 in the past or a GMC Canyon had one prior, loved both for there size and comfort. I would get the GMC vs Chevrolet just because you pay a little more then the Chev and lastly GMC is easier to spell than Chevrolet.

I don't think there's anything out there at the moment that I'd buy. Would have kept my old 2001 Ranger.

There is no other suitable truck in the Maverick class. The only possible replacement would be an 82-92 Ranger with an updated engine to get much better mileage. While I got 744k out of that German V6, only getting 28mpg is unacceptable today, and the Mav gets double that. All the second gen Rangers are too big, too gutless and too inefficient to be considered again. I had the 3.0 V6, and it was truly gutless. I easily discount the current third gen Rangers because they are essentially a skinny F150, and not fit for purpose anymore. They are so big that don't even fit in the garage.
