No, and I still wont with the trim I've selected. Some people like different things, and have different priorities. The value proposition for me, with the maverick, is that I am getting a new vehicle, with a new warranty, and amazing gas mileage for just a little more than I was planning to spend on the used market. If I added all the bells and whistles I'd be over the cost of what I can afford right now.
Fair enough. You are wiser than most to know your financial limits and stick to them.

I plan on using the Maverick as a commuter truck potentially replacing my 2007 Toyota Tacoma work truck. The value proposition for me would be to keep the price around the lower end of the spectrum, essentially a limit of around $25k. It would be likely be an XLT with the hybrid engine and 1 or two add-ons for a little under 25k or an XL with some add-ons for about $23-24k. Then again, I'm waiting for things to normalize with the car market before I make any moves.

I'm a sales rep and drive all over Los Angeles, once in awhile I have to carry server bins etc.
In hybrid form this is the perfect commuter car/truck. With gas prices around $4.50 a gallon in LA it will almost pay for itself monthly, when gas hits 6 or 7 dollar Ford will not be able to build enough Mavericks. I was just going to get the XL but the XLT rims and interior look great and it would be hard not to have cruise control. Ford just hit a grand slam.
PS You won't believe how long your brakes last on these hybrid systems with their regenerative braking systems.

Originally my wife and I were planning on ordering a Bronco Sport. Before the Maverick was released I figured it would be more expensive than the Sport and didn't really give it a 2nd thought. But I totally forgot that the Ranger existed and Ford needed to avoid too much price overlap.

Maverick Lariat 2.0L
- Luxury Package
- 4k Tow
- FX4
- 17" Wheel w/ 235/65 AT Tires

Bronco Sport Badlands
- Badlands Package
- Tow
- Ford Co-Pilot360™ Assist+
- 17" Wheel w/ 235/65 AT Tires

Here's a quick breakdown of our pro/cons which are obviously subjective. We both like the looks of the BS better however the Maverick pricing is super aggressive for what is effectively the same car underneath.

Badlands BSMaverick
Powertrain--
Exterior Stylingx
AWD Systemx
Interior Stylingx

The FX4 package is for the AWD, FYI, so Mav would also be AWD.

This is true, but climate-dependent.

In areas where roads are treated with salt, corrosion becomes a greater reliability issue than wear.

This is true, however the BS Badlands has a more sophisticated dual-clutch rear drive unit.

All I know is my back of the napkin calculations on how much in gas we'll save per year was enough to convince my accountant wife that it'd be an excellent replacement for our Jeep Grand Cherokee. It's at least $10K saved in just gas over five years ($2k a year at current rate of millage). Sure a Rav4 Hybrid could have done the same but the Rav4 XLE Premium is $6K more than the Man XLT+Lux.

I just switched my previous Maverick, XLT w/lux, AWD w/Fx4. My latest order is a FWD XL w/sunroof, spray in liner, and 360 safety package. Big change, different vehicle almost. Saved ~$8 grand in doing the switch. This post made me think about the value, hope it works out.
