I have serached the forum and found a number of references to using Farm bureau, first responder, student, etc. private offers in combination with the transition/rollover, and that you can do that. But I have not found a reference that would apply to my situation so I am asking of anyone has experience that may help me. When I placed my order in October 2021, I had a $750 Ford private offer mailed to me that said I had to take delivery from dealer stock or place an order by January 2022, which I did. My 2022 was not built so I got the rollover offer for my soon to arrive 2023 (my dealer accidentally used an incorrect address for me but that is a whole other story), but because Ford did not automatically rollover maverick orders like they did Broncos, my dealer had to reorder my 2023. My question is will my $750 offer be honored by Ford, my dealer says he has no dog in the fight and if Ford honors it he will. As usual, Ford Customer Service is clueless and says it is up to my dealer, but my dealer showed me that he just plugs in the Code/number into Vincent and it either is accepted or it is not. So, I have the two most appropriate sources for answering this giving me two different answers, so I have no where else to turn but to this forum. My concern is that my reorder was placed after january 2022 but that was Ford's fault for not building my 2022, so if the intent of the rollover offer was to "price protect" 2022 customers so that they did not have to pay the 2023 increased price for their rolled over order, Ford should honor the $750 offer, otherwise I will be paying $750 more than I would have if Ford had built my 2022.

I doubt it will be applied. It’s a new order

you might have a second offer though

That is what I was thinking, no second offer yet but I do have the $500 Farm Bureau that I supposedly can use in combination with the roll over offer so not as good as $750 but better than nothing!

Ford doesn't guarantee that a dealer's order will be built by the end of a model year.

But your question is confusing me. You received a transition offer for '22 to '23 plus an earlier $750 private offer? You use the term price protection - there is no price protection between model years. There can be a transition offer for going from one model year to another. So what is the $750 offer?

I ordered an XLT in October '21 and now I'm on my second Maverick, a Lariat. I credit my salesman for pushing Ford. Of course, I pushed my salesman. My private offer disappeared and had to work with the inventory specialist to make it valid again.
I stopped in to see my salesman frequently so I wasn't forgotten. Not having any inside angles I would say be a pest (but pleasant) to your dealer and Ford customer service, nobody could blame you. I hope something happens soon.

The $750 offer was mailed to me by ford prior to my ordering and just said you have to place an order or take delivery before 1/2/2022, which I did. Ford called it an exclusive cash reward and provided a personal "code" that the dealer would enter into VINCENT upon delivery. I suppose I should not have used the term price protect even that is what the intent of the rollover offer was. According to ford the offer weas made to 2022 orders that were not built to apply to a 2023 so in effect you paid the same for your 2023 as you would have for your 2022. Sorry I misspoke but the end result is the same the roll over offer, basically is a form of price protection.

The fine print of the $750 offer likely said it was for 2021 and 2022 vehicles....

Things like that are certainly not protected. Your 22 was never built. You had to reorder a 23. Ford provided a transition offer, but in Ford's eyes, the 23 order was a brand new order.

You are correct on the fine print saying 2021/2022 (I just double checked), I guess just wishful thinking that ford would do the right thing and honor it since they dropped the ball not me, but I should know better! I appreciate you taking the time to reply

You're welcome! I wish it were the case that they'd give you that extra rebate too.

We have tried to get some rebates like that extended for customers..... but have never been successful!

Those type of semi-generic ICI offers are quarterly and almost all of them exclude Maverick.

If you had $750 PCO in 10/2021, you may have another one under your name now. We have been receiving that offer almost year round (most of the year except Q4 if I remember correctly). I just used one in May for a Maverick. You can ask the dealer to check the offer under your name or go to a big dealerships website that will show your offer.
