Only had the truck for a few days and suddenly the type C port stopped working. It does not charge the phone or connect it in any way. There was no damage or anything pulled out it just stopped working. I have tried multiple type C to type C cables and still not working. Any idea for a solution?

The regular type A port works and I can connect my phone and charge it with no problem. Seems to be isolated to the type C port.

Update: I tested all associated fuses for the USB and they all check out. As mentioned, I believe the problem pertains to the plug assembly. I'll be contacting my dealer soon. Sucks that I've had the truck for less than a week and this problem exists.

A person on YouTube had a similar issue and took it to the dealer. Apparently it had a faulty plug assembly and they replaced it.

This is at least the 3rd mention I've seen of this happening.

After checking out the fuses for the USB, all good, I believe it to be a faulty plug assembly as well.

I now have similar issue. Don’t have a way to check the usb-C plug. But today the a-plug stopped working. Same cable works in the back seat usb and also in the 12v plug in the front that I have an additional usb charger plugged into. Pulled fuse 18 under the glove box and it didn’t seem blown?

If there is no blown fuse I'm guessing it's the USB module. Based on my own experience and other threads I have seen on here there is a precedent for these modules going bad without explanation. I had the dealer replace mine and so far it has been working without issues. Unfortunately that's the only solution that I know of. Good luck!

Took a can of compressed air to it this morning and tried another cable. That cable worked and then tried the original and it also worked???????
Lost on what the issue was ???????

If blowing it out with canned air resolved your issue, mu suspicion would be that there was some sort of schmutz that had gotten pressed to the back of the receptacle that prevented the cable from fully inserting. The compressed air would have blown the foreign object out of the receptacle.

FWIW, this is a common issue with cellphones that people keep in their pocket (all types of connector types). An accumulation of pocket lint builds up in the back of the connector and doesn't allow the cable to fully seat.

Hi there, Don. This usb-c hub concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Maverick. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

I lost both usb c and a in a road-trip. They drop after 2-3 hours on the road. Currently waitron dealer to diagnose.

and this morning, it's back to working..........with a new or the old cord. wondering if the interior heat could be part of the problem?

Any updates on this issue? My c port went to charge only to not working in the span of 30 min (and was working fine the day before). The a also doesn't work (no connection or charge) today.

How long was it in the dealer, and did it require a wait for the parts?

I'd say get the dealer involved. I've had mine for 2.5 months and haven't had any issues with the USB connections.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Maverick concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.
