I guess the ? I had in the original post is WHY there is a calendar difference between US and CDN builds? It’s not like there are any retooling differences. We were all allowed to order at the same date but not too be built at the same time…..more bull crap from Ford….can hardly wait to see how the Lightning goes lol

This thread reminded me to go see where the block heater plug was left in the engine bay. Mine is on the top left corner of the rad when you pop the hood.

There's no 2WD Ecoboost up here, which I guess is another thing.

-40C makes it a necessity. I'd say -10C and below you start to see a difference.
Looks like I won't need the block heater anyway, we might get 3-7 days a year below -11c here in Vancouver. I don't think I know anyone around here that has one, other than diesel truck owners or people who moved from Alberta.

More likely from your dealer. Nobody else is confirming exclusive January builds for Canadian orders.

My dealer says Ford will begin building hybrids for Canada in January….is there any differences in mavericks between the two countries? I thought our emission standards were 49 state equivalent? Is this true or just more dealer bullshit?
There were plenty of Canadian-spec hybrid Mavericks built in the fall, they just were not shipped, just like the U.S.-spec hybrids as they were awaiting government certification and Ford's "OK to ship" status.
