Upgrade FOB on 2025 XLT.

My '25 XLT came with the 3-button FOBs, no remote start button. Read that it can be upgraded with a 4-button FOB as they all come with remote start embedded. I bought a 4-button with remote start on Ebay ($56) for a '25 Bronco Sport. Easy to program the 3rd one and just put the cut key onto new remote, and traded Bronco battery cover for the Ford cover. Although maybe I should leave the Bronco cover on so if I loose the FOB they will look for the wrong vehicle. .. .. Original FOB on left and new on right.

I am thinking of doing the same thing. I was waiting until the price came down. I see that it did. So I may do what you did. I do know that the 2025 has a different key fob then the 2024 and earlier vehicles.

Yes, it works. And you can still use the Ford app to start Mav. too.

I have a 2025 hybrid xlt with the 4 button fob but I haven't been able to get the vehicle start to work

Hmmmm - same year/trim.

Down to some settings differences if not production run difference.

Sounds like Vern has truck connected up for Ford app remote access to work.
Bill - got the same?

I could see if truck isn't setup for potential remote start - why enable some functions.

The truck also has options regarding the remote start.
How do your settings compare?

REMOTE START SETTINGS

From the settings menu, press Vehicle.

1. Press Remote Start Setup.

You can adjust the following in the remote start settings menu:

• Enable or disable remote start.
• Climate control settings.
• Heated seat settings.
• Heated steering wheel settings.
• Remote start duration.
