I drove 200 miles on freeway doing 70 mph and the front top (at rear window) of vinyl cover frame popped up creating big wind ripples. Bed cover is great around town, but booking it on the freeway, in the future I'm going to roll it up. I'm going to work in this. Maybe some kiss ass exterior two backing tape to hold front frame down. I'm just worried about the sticky mess when top is removed. Brand: autosaver88 on amazon.

That should NOT happen. Something is wrong with the cover or hardware, or installation.

I bought the soft roll-up from yitamotors (yitamotors, oedro and autosaver88 are brands from yintatech). The install instructions were not great so I ending up installing and re-installing couple times.

Did you use the rubber weather stripping underneath the front of the cover frame (by the window)? Even with the clamps, if you do not use the stripping, the instructions say wind can enter under the cover from the front

Did you lay the stripping the full length of the cover - both the metal and plastic parts of the Mav so that all of the front frame is on top of weather stripping?

The cover for the Mav comes with four clamps - instructions specify the distance from the front and back. My recall is I placed the front clamps about 12 inches back from the front of the cover frame.

After I installed the cover, I thought it was evenly aligned. When I measured the distance from the end of the cover frame to the end of the Mav and found I was 1/2 inch off on one side. Not sure if that amount of misalignment makes a difference.

I do get a little rippling of the cover at freeway speeds but not big wind ripples.

Bought my 24 Maverick new in July. First purchase for it was an Amazon (TipTop Brand) soft roll-up tonneau. 17,000+ miles since then, mostly at Interstate speed. No problems at all. Getting it all squared up mounting was what I believe was the most important factor.

Are there actually noticeable differences between in rolling tonneau covers? I am deciding between a Truxedo from Ford website for $311 and a Autosaver88 cheaper option at $127 from Amazon?

Money isn't really a deciding factor, but just don't know if there is enough of a difference?

I've had the autosave88 installed with no issues since July 2024
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZZ9PLFQ

I bought it to hold me over until I decided exactly what I wanted. Still on the truck, but the X4ts will be what replaces it.

I always referred to that tape as management tape.
You know two-faced.

I'm using the same tonneau cover and haven't had this issue after a month of use. Make sure it's up close to the window, square, and clamped down properly.
