Under the hood lights on the cheap

Went to The Dollar Store and spent $4 on a couple battery powered 150 lumen lights and mounted them under the hood with some double hook Velcro. Good lighting and no fear of accidentally running the vehicle battery dead. For as seldom as the hood is opened it should last for years, unless I forget to turn them off. May cut into the wiring with an auto tilt switch I found on Amazon but probably won’t bother. AAA batteries are cheap. Will see if they stay on or fall off in a few miles

I did something like that in the trunk of a Goldwing I use to own. Got the light at Radio Shack.

Yeah. Not sure leaving light under the hood is really necessary. Figured worth a try for $4. Since they are attached by Velcro can be easily removed and replaced if needed. Have a good magnetic base light but hard to attach to an aluminum hood.
