Unable to disable seat belt chime

I got it to work, I did it without the parking brake on and you have to go slower then with older ford vehicles I have you want to make sure the dash recognizes every time the seatbelt is buckled and unbuckled it takes a second longer between buckling and unbuckling then I am used to but it worked!

Put a square piece of black electrical tape over the light. I sold used cars a long time ago.....

I took maybe a minute to go off maybe minute and a half I made a quick video doing the passenger seat so I will upload it to youtube here in a minute and post a link

That is weird... do you have the 6.5in screen? I have not heard of that but I do know if the smaller dash display might be set up a bit different

Ok a tip here, if you ask for a seatbelt extension it must be provided for free for your extra large passenger. ADA law period.. it will override the chime like the pay to play schemes….

Yes tried both ways and nothing

Has anyone with the XL/XLT been successful.. So far only Lariat reported success.

I know, that’s not what I want I want exactly what it states in the manual. The damn chime I want gone.

So find the little speaker that is making the chime and cut the wires to it.
