I have the 6.5” info screen, and I’ve noticed something odd about the seatbelt screen. The rear passenger seat is always a different shade than the rest of the seats. The child lock isn’t on, there’s nothing sitting on the chair. I don’t get it. When there actually is somebody in the seat, the green is less opaque than the rest of the seats. Any ideas? I didn’t find anything in the manual.

Honestly I've never really noticed that. What does annoy me slightly (not really) is that its an F-150 interior.

My Lariat shows the exact same thing! I’m convinced now it must serve some purpose, BUT WHAT!? 😫😫😫

It's late October 2022 and still the dealer, Ford Customer Care and internet have nothing. Even my thread "Why does the rear right seat show gray all the time with no occupant?" wasn't helpful.

Since your OP here would you please pass on anything you've learned.

Thanks

I saw the other thread that was posted, and I still have no idea why that seat displays differently. I've just left is as being one of life's mysteries... If I do happen to learn anything, I'll be sure to pass it along. 🤷‍♂️

Curious if this is only in hybrid models or not

If you open a rear door before you start a trip, the rear seat alert will show to make sure you check forgotten things in the rear area

Nope, I’ve got an ecoboost and the same issue/design is there.
Alright. The only thing different about that seat is the 12v battery lives under there in the hybrid. Why it would be indicated in the seat belt screen,I have no clue but it appears that isn't the case.
