Relative Forscan newbie here.

I’ve read every article I can find, watched every video available. Many were very helpful, thanks to all who take the time to help others learn the tricks.

Over the last two days I’ve had no issues programming all drive modes, eco coach, and turned off the a/s/s.

The one thing I can’t get the way I want it is the TSR. I can get it to display two circles , the speed limit shows up in the left circle. The circle on the right is blank. I have never been able to get the rectangle traffic sign to display.

I have tried every suggestion on this forum, to no avail. I have reset the modules back to stock, and started from scratch, at least twice, with every different suggestion.

I even tried messing with things a bit on my own. Still nothing.

Right now, I have it set so the circle speed limit shows on the left, and blank circle on the right. Figure that’s better than nothing.

Has anyone with my configuration been able to get the rectangular speed limit signs to display?

XLT FX4 Lux CP360 4k tow

Thanks

Have you had any luck with this?

No one is quite clear on how they get it to work and I'm reluctant to attempt without clear instructions specifically for an FX4 XLT.

Turn on the TSR options in the IPMA with Forscan easy mode and set it to SLIF mode. If you leave the IPC settings alone it should Just Work with square signs. If you enable the IPC options for the bigger info screen (Lariat/FX4/Tremor) then it works but tends to use the Euro round sign mode.

Unfortunately that did nothing. No signs showing up at all.

Do I need to enable this within the vehicle?

So I've got it to show up, albeit with round signs.

I believe the current settings are:

IPC > TSR > enabled
IPC > SLIP > disabled
IPMA > TSR > SLIF
IPMA > Traffic Sign Recognition Mode > Camera Data Only

It's not as though I have an odd configuration of this vehicle, and plenty of people have enabled this. Why can't anyone say exactly how to get TSR working with square signs?

Any help would be appreciated.

@BlackMav23 I got TSR to work on my 2023 XLT FX4 Lux CP360 4K tow and got square US speed limit signs by doing the following:

  • IPC > Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) > Disabled (this is the default)
  • IPC > Speed Limit Information Function (SLIF) > Enabled
  • IPMA > Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) > SLIF
  • IPMA > Traffic Sign Recognition Mode > Camera data only

Thank you so much. I'm almost positive I tried that and it didn't show up in the menus but I'll give it a shot again.

That's r reassuring to know you have the exact configuration. The only other package I added was sunroof which should make absolutely no difference.

Thank you so much. That appears to have worked. Menu was just in a different spot.

I have noticed that this does not allow for separate warnings over/under 35 mph. To be honest this doesn't matter so much as the thresholds were so low. I wanted to set under 35 to 5 mph and over 35 to 15 mph but it seemed that 5 mph was the max regardless.

Is there any way to make this audible? Some sort of chime or something? It actually annoys me that there's no sound for lane keeping and blind spot monitor as well.

Not sure that is possible tbh. You can try reading through the various TSR threads like this one to see what settings relate and check out the Livnitup master list of codes.

Honestly I'm probably going to disable the speed warning. Flashes constantly on Michigan expressways where even the most conservative drivers go 85. It's nice to be able to glance down and see the theoretical speed limit at any time though.
