Anybody on here have the Truck2Go retracting Tonneau cover? - Similar to the ReTrax Pro, under their own name, and nicely priced. Only caveat appears to be you cannot use the factory rail system (the adjustable bed side rails), and must remove them due to the way they utilize additional support along the sides. The bed side rails didn't make it onto my 22>23 rollover, so contemplating one of those covers for my Lariat.

For that matter, anybody use Truck2Go at all, are they reliable? - There's literally one(1) review, that is very positive, but who knows if it's real, given how much fraud there is online today.

Thanks Guys

Probably very few Mavericks will opt for a retractable tonneau (RT). Zero extra bed space for the canister. The Santa Cruz went with the RT and it has not sold well. Everything Ford sells folds upwards in some way. All those RT systems look cool with the racks and such, but at that point, might as well keep the Subaru or get a bed cap.

I've done more mulling and research than I care to admit on this topic. RT systems with racks were quickly approaching truck cap costs. Thus, I now have a truck cap on order. Should be double the cargo space of a RT. Way less complicated too, IMO.

Hi, I just ordered the retractable bed cover from Truck2go and it should be delivered early next week. As for losing some space, that may be but this is a good permanent cover solution. Since my Mav is for occasional hauling the benefits out way any cons. I’m looking forward to getting it installed. I also thought about the aluminum cover that rolls up but it’s even more expensive than the retractable. After doing my research, I concluded there’s no perfect solution. Only those that are cheap and those that are expensive. As for losing my factory siderails, they look nice but not sure I would get that much use from them. I’ll update when it arrives.

After some discussion with Truck2GO, they've changed the clamps apparently, and it WILL install WITH the Flex-Rail Cargo Management system in place. Mine arrived last night, and I'm hoping to get it installed over the weekend, weather permitting. - And perhaps a little help, lifting it onto the side rails, as I don't believe I can safely do so on my own, and not risk scraping something. (Shipping weight ask packaged is around 90 lbs, with what appears to be a substantial double wall box).

I don't haul large objects regularly either, and really want to keep items reasonably protected from the weather. My hauling would be along the lines of some mulch, or an interior door, or 4x8 piece of plywood now and then, all of which would still be perfectly possible with the retracting cover. The Truck2Go Pro cover has T-Slots, and my plan is to buy a set of low profile rails to mount bike racks for our bikes, and maybe even a cargo basket (black aluminum), for items that don't mind getting wet. - Think it would look really good, when in use.

Mine arrived today! I’m hoping to get it installed this coming week. Best price. Even with the shipping and installation costs, I’ll same $400 plus over other options. Truck2Go has the best price for a retractable bed cover! Shipping was better than I thought. Once installed I’ll be pretty much done with upgrades for awhile.

I just received my cover via UPS from Truck2Go, so yes, they are legit. I saved $42 using BROWSE5. Shipping was $150 for a total of $942! Even with a $100 installation charge I’ll save $500 or more over the dealer prices for a similar cover. Btw, the $150 shipping is understandable considering the size and weight of the product.

Yes, you can keep the factory installed rail system. I asked and they confirmed this for me.

Doesn’t look like it’ll work for mine since I went with the factory bed liner.

“It will NOT FIT Bedliner that seals wrap truck rail caps; The clamp mounting system requires a gap opening between Bedliner and truck rail caps.”

Wish I had read more about liner options before I had ordered. Questions I have though are how much room does the canister take up and did it say how much weight it can hold on top?

Rainy day, and I installed new flooring in one of the bathrooms, but will hopefully install tomorrow, and answer question on canister size, time permitting.

FWIW, most retractable covers have issues with drop in liners. Apparently, you can trim the top of the liner at the cab & along the rails, from what I've read. Mine has the spray-in, so not a problem there.

I guess I’m one of the few. The RT from Truck2Go is the most affordable and I plan on having it installed. Yes, I'll lose some bed space but I only do small occasional hauling anyway. My Mav is a good Sport Utility Truck not a work truck so maximum bed space, for me, is not an issue.

Finally installed mine late yesterday afternoon, into evening. Not a horrible install for one person, as while the box is heavy, the cannister itself is maybe half the weight (or less) of the shipping box, and easily picked up.

Ended up completing the install in the dark, with a flash light/work-light. My fingers just weren't working well, and first I dropped the screw from the latch protector into the cannister, and took a good 20 minutes to get it drop out, then dropped one of the rail to cannister screws into the rail, and the bugger rolled a couple inches into the rail. The install would have been done a lot quicker, if it wasn't for my fingers just not cooperating, and not the just over two hours I spent. (Don't do the install after performing manual labor for 2 days prior, and you're finger dexterity isn't 100%, lesson learned).

The canister isn't huge, it's actually on the smaller side, and their unit is actually the SeneticUSA unit, with a 'Trax' model line on the box. (Roughly between 7-8 inches in depth, height wise it sits well above the side drain holes in the bed. Seems well made, the slats are coated aluminum, the side rails are very stout, and together weight more than the cover/canister assembly. Unlike some of the others, this one can lock at ANY position front to back, not at 1/3 increments. They even include a bottle of lube for the internal assembly, if it needs re-lubing down the road. The video is actually a little better at showing the assembly than the instructions, with the b&w drawings. They give you everything you need to tighten all by the 6 10mm nuts on the clamps. (Everything else is one of 3 allen/hex bolts, which are included in the box).

Need a rainy day to check how water tight it is, which shouldn't be long, given how wet it's been the past couple of months. And I'll add some weatherstrip to the tailgate as well, which surprisingly wasn't included. (Still half what the comparable RetraxPRO XR would run). - BTW, there's a 10% coupon for first time purchasers, by signing up for their newsletter, which I used when ordering.

I messaged T2G and they said the cover will actually work with the factory liner so now I’m kind of leaning towards it. Loosing 6-7 inches shouldn’t have much impact on what I’ll use it for. I’d probably get help for the install so assuming that would make it a lot easier. Next question I have though is about the drain lines. Did you have to drill the holes? I didn’t notice any on my liner and not sure I’m wanting to do that.

I will be getting a canister style cover as soon as I get my Mavrick next month. I don't need a lot of bed space

Hi, I had my Retractable Bed Cover from Truck2go installed today. Total cost $1,007!!! That’s $792 ($839 - 5% discount), $150 shipping (no tax) and $65 (installation). Looks/works great!

Here's a picture of mine installed. Going to neaten up the drans with proper elbows, for a more efficient flow.

I'll make a post on an awesome diy bedrug as well.
