This was the real test for the tonneau cover that I bought in June. We got news that Hurricane Hillary was headed our way & will land starting Sunday morning. It was downgraded to a Tropical storm when it came. Come Sunday at 7 am it started raining, it was mild at first then got stronger as the day passed. At times it poured pretty hard & it went on the whole Sunday night into 3 am Monday today. by 8 am the sun started to peak through & the first thing I did was check the truck to see how much water got into the bed. I really didn't know what to expect after all the rain that we just got. I slide it open & this is what I found. The only water I saw was on the left & right side of the bed up front. The water that was on the bed including the middle of the bed was from me sliding the tonneau cover open, with the water on the cover spilling onto the bed. Final verdict: Loved the result!! Hardly any water inside the bed to make a difference, I expected more water inside the bed since it was constantly raining from Sunday to Monday. For me it gets two thumbs up!!

Did you double up the weather-stripping along the front? Mine leaked a little up there until I slid it back, added a second layer (they give an extra length in the kit), and now the front seems to stay bone dry.

My only minor water seepage is along the tailgate seal...still working on whether its from the tonneau to tailgate, as there is good overlap, or the gasket around the opening at the bottom. Whichever, its only damp/wet right along the edge of the bed in the tailgate to bed point, so either drips running down the inside of the tailgate or splashing up from the bumper area. (I might need to flip the tailgate seals orientation along the bottom of the bed).

Otherwise, mine stays pretty darn dry, even in torrential rains at highway speed. It poured on our road-trip in June, and our luggage stayed nice and dry. - Great bang for the buck with that unit. You do loose a little large item space since the cover doesn't fully retract into the cannister, but still love mine.
