Truck Bed Cooler for camping?

Is anyone thinking of keeping a cooler in their truck bed full time or when camping? I've been looking at some dimensions and the 150 qt Coleman 316 series would seem to fit well, and the 120 qt would fit between the wheel wells, but I also don't have my mav, just going off specs. It would also be great if the "rock gray" matched the cactus gray I'm getting.

I'd love to hear other suggestions!

Hi Sarah - I like keeping a cooler in the bed. My Maverick's also cactus grey.

Our needs might be different since you're looking at a much bigger capacity but this one's an Ozark Trail rotomolded 26 qt I got at Walmart years back. Fits between the cargo rings and I just lash it down with a strap, passing it through the factory cooler slots (I think originally for a lock bracket but the straps fit perfectly) and then secure with a cargo bar. Belt and suspenders!

I got this for my XLT Hybrid. It fits perfectly on the 2nd row seat, middle or at the bed of the truck.

Lol. A few shovelfuls of snow in between cleaning off the driveway and the cooler is stocked for the week! Extra frosty beers.

I am going to put our 28qt fridge freezer in the bed of mine. I wish there was room for it up front like in my Bronco. Im hoping to get a cap that I can put a small solar panel on and then I may put a pair of small 6v batteries and a small inverter in the cubby area or in a custom made box. Ideally I will keep it going 24/7 as a always on fridge, because nothing says "ready to party" like always having ice cold drinks!
