I actually have nice solid seat with 3 legs and it setup to hold a compostable bag. Then you just throw the bag at the fuzz when they try to bust up your camp jam.

Living in a constantly evolving off grid cabin we go to hotels for the luxury of AC, wall outlets and light switches.Nah, roughing it for me is a Hotel room.
As I wrote on here it suddenly dawned on me oh yeah I'm going in a bucket right now 
. We actually have sweet setup for off grid. Nothing composts near the house and everything is biodegradable. It's a 2 dunny system with a urinal made out a funnel and a Separet brand toilet lid that separates the out the wee. Poo goes in a compostable bag which then goes into a trash bin with air vent tubing and enzymes added. We have few bins and in about a 1 year cycle each composts after a couple years and it composts fully and is returned to earth. Our wee is added to our shower water and sink water. That feeds a banana patch that is to tall to harvest properly and is a type of banana we don't really care for. I made flushing lines out of copper tubing with he ends pinched and holes drilled in it. For an off grid system it works pretty well. Classier than some and just funky enough so every guest doest go take a big ole poo when they come to visit.

I always had electricity but didn't know what AC was till the 90's = I was cheap.

That was my thinking too and what I use in my setup. Plus I got to use my pre-tax salary via my Health Savings Account (HSA) which I also to stock my camping first aid kits.My solution for both camping, as well as whatever other disaster might strike at home.
