Took a week vacation, drove to Florida and back. Average speed was about 79 MPH over 2,000 miles. Highway speeds varied between 70-90mph, (a few times over that) Rolling with traffic most of the time. A little local driving, but 95% highway at least. 36.2 MPG indicated, 34.2 MPG hand calculated. This seems to be better than previous long trips on the highway, and all was with the HVAC on. Not sure if the recall reflash had anything to do with it. Started the trip with 8,299 miles on the Odo, now 10,338. On the way down was better, I was showing over 39 mpg for most of the trip, until speeds averaged over 80mph.

Your mileage sounds similar to mine at fast highway speeds.

The A/C is electric and runs off the HV battery. And fuel consumption is minimal. Highway driving with the windows down would cause a lot of aerodynamic drag, and would very likely use more fuel than using A/C with windows closed.

Good numbers.
Recent road trip, on toll road, holding speed 66 mph, very little off the toll road country road driven, saw 24 mpg on the dash.

Now that I am running 91 Octane Ethanol free easily getting mid 30's @ 70 mph with cruise control on interstate driving. This is an increase conservatively of 15% over 87 Octane lawnmower gas. :ROFLMAO:

I thought you're not supposed to use ethanol in your lawn mower!

That's true, I do not but many do so I used it as a joke. It's E-Free in all my gas powered vehicles.

I saw 87 Ethanol free gas on my trip. It was $4.19 instead of $3.19 for 10% ethanol gas. I passed. In my area all gas has ethanol. Mid 30's is really good for an EB, but I just can't drive that slow. On the one stretch that was a 60 MPH limit, and I was doing 70 it was getting about 41 MPG on the E10 87. but dropped some once speeds went up to 80+

Ouch, last tank fill I paid $4.09 for 91 E-free. I cannot believe what a huge difference all the way around it makes for the EB engine. It like I just got an ECU tune. LOL. I prefer to plug along the interstate about 5 over the limit and content to let all those in a hurry blow by me. In the winter they find the slippery spots and bad bridges for me before I get there. :D :D(y)

These are remarkable little trucks regardless of the one that fits your needs.

The E10 87 was about 80 cents cheaper than My area too. ($3.19 vs $3.99) That was in Alabama. I filled up in Indiana before that for $3.49. Just 4 fill ups for the 2100 miles, and used 3 3/4 tanks over the 2100 total miles. My debit card saves me 2% cash back on gas, and I have an app which gets me another 10 cents a gallon on average too. Every couple bucks helps.
