Tri-Coat Metalic means more paint layers?

Cyber Orange which costs and extra $495 says Tri-Coat Metalic. Does that mean it has more coats of paint than the other colors?

Probably means three layers of metallic clear coat over the paint.

Base color coat, transparent pearl, then clear coat.

Tri coat is usually

Metal > Primer

3 Paint Coats: Colored Base Coat > Transparent Paint Colored Mid Coat > Clear Coat

Having the transparent mid coat gives the paint some depth rather than one flat layer.
