Is the tinted clear coat metallic paint (Alto Blue, Hot Pepper Red and Cyber Orange) worth the additional cost? Is the paint thicker than the others?

I have a few now. Every time I hear something hit I find it on the hood. Pretty disappointing.

My Maverick is Oxford white. I had it ceramic coated mainly to help protect from bird droppings and tree sap. I haven't noticed any rock chips in the few months that I have had it.
