Hi tradespeople and really anyone. I was wondering what y’all had planned for aftermarket upgrades to your maverick, ie toppers, roof racks, toolboxes, ladder racks, truck caps and the like. I would also be super interested in seeing photos of your work trucks all tricked out (or alternatively all your tools crammed in the back seat)

Also if anyone has a good idea for moving a considerable amount of 16’ lumber on one I’m all ears.

I plan on using my Hybrid XL for work. I do not plan to haul a lot of supplies with it but will need to have tools stored somewhere. My multi position ladder placement will determine the route I end up taking.

1. If ladder fits in bed. Custom box made to store ladder and mount Milwaukee packout system. Tonneau cover on bed.

2. If ladder does not fit in bed. Decked storage system with a mount for ladder and Milwaukee packouts on top. No tonneau cover.

3. Same as 2 except Milwaukee packouts will get moved to rear seating area.

4. Ladder rack. Milwaukee packouts mounted in bed. Tonneau cover on bed.

Those are my thoughts on what I am thinking. As of right now I plan on using the storage under the rear seat is for extra tool batteries and chargers.

if you had an FX4 With tow hooks, the hooks could be removed and a ladder rack connecting to the front of the truck could be made very easily.

otherwise, I’d bet a long light custom trailer could handle that duty.

I’m going to try to make it work for my business I’m thinking of a back seat delete, the bottom seat cushions are on the way when up

The decked storage system seems like what I may end up going with

Do you know if you’ll be able to get a delete kit for the entire seat or just the fold up bottom part? I may end up doing this as well

Most of my tools will fit in bed but for the odd time I have a tall ladder I am going to add the roof/cab spoiler so I can lean ladders against it

I'm looking forward to throwing a cover over the bed and rack rails above that. I've got a cargo box to throw all my tent, sleep bags, and chairs into. Leaves lots of space for other things in the bed.

Been thinking on it. Long way to go. Probably start with XL/AWD/2.0/4KTOW/+FX4. How much is "considerable"? At a quickly reached point will need a Ranger or larger. OR $$$$ and void warranties! To go with hybrid drive would take $$$$$!

I'll be using mine for land surveying equipment (Trimble total station, GPS, level rods, tool boxes with our paint, nails, etc, and rebar and lath). We currently load and unload with each outing, so I hope to build a lumber rack across the bed floor to keep everything organized, but probably won't dive into add-ons unless I see a setup that I really think would make life easier for a reasonable price.
