For those successfully tracking their Maverick, were you able to find your truck with just one railroad?
I’m in Jacksonville, Fl, mainly served by CSX, but using CSX touch tracker cannot find the unit which supposedly was sent four days ago.
Suggesions?
Thanks all

Sometimes, the shipped date doesn't match the date it leaves. Either way, CSX won't be able to track it until it gets to Nogales and gets switched over from the Mexican rail company.
If you were able to get your railcar from Ford chat, it is probably past that already.
One thing to know is for CSX, the letters for the car need to be entered as double digit...
For my TTGX car, you enter 81814182 # (1st number is the key, second is the place on that key). Make sense? Luckily, I found that tidbit from a search on this forum.

Thanks, Bill.
Is the car # also on the window sticker? If not. then I will have to start from scratch. Also, CSX region ends in New Orleans. I suspect the road that picks it up at Nogales is Union Pacific. Holy cow! Regards, Tom

Tom, there is no railcar # on the window sticker. The sticker only shows the destination ramp, ie: where it gets unloaded and put on convoy.

I was only able to get my car # from the Ford Chat, but that wasn't available for a couple days after it went through Nogales. My dealer (salesman) said he couldn't see the railcar info. I suspect he didn't have access or know how to use VINView.

So you don't have your railcar#? That is the only way to track through CSX or any of the rail services.

FYI, CSX was able to track mine even when it was in New Mexico, Kansas, etc. However, once it got through St. Louis, it gave me more details since it is handed over to CSX as it gets on this side of the Mississippi.

Hey, Bill,
Thanks again. I'll call down to Duval Ford in Jax, and see if they can give me the real number, and then go to that CSX site.
The guys told me it would typically be a month from "Shipping" date, and I suspect it will be the end of May before it comes in. All good.. VR, Tom

I was able to track my Maverick on the CSX tracking system (by phone using voice inputs) from the time it left the plant in Hermosillo to when it arrived at RAMP ONE in Wayne, MI (which is where it came off the rail). The tracker wasn't always completely up to date, but I called twice a day when I knew the truck was on it's way. The window sticker does not have the rail car number on it. I got my rail car number from FORD customer service (phone, not chat). Once the truck came off rail, I was not able to track it - and it actually took significantly longer to get from Wayne, MI to my dealer (about 150 miles) than it took to get from the plant to Wayne, MI. Took just about six weeks in total.

The dealer can track it in VIN VIEW if they'll take the time to do it. My dealer sent me a couple of updates which were screen shots of what they could see in VIN VIEW.

Thanks, John,
I'll get on Ford customer service tomorrow and get the right number. 76 years old, but still learning!
That's what I have really liked about Maverick Truck Club. Everyone is so helpful. I really appreciate it.
Thanks again, Tom

When you contact FORD, not all the reps will give you the rail car number. If one of them won't do it, call again later and get a different rep - it's kind of hit or miss, but once you get one of them to give you the number you're set. Sometimes the rep on chat will cough up the number as well - I did get confirmation on the number from chat early on in the process.

I'm 74 - we're all still learning!!

I noted in another thread I start checking at day 10 after the shipped email, which was yesterday for me. My dealership also had a new sales manager who was still a little green.

Fortunately, he showed me the screen where I could see the map and detail tiles on the right. When he expanded one of the tiles, I noticed a number like 864635TTGX764424 in the detail description on one of the items he opened. I want to say it didn't explicitly say railcar, but I can't be sure.

I am guessing the numbers before the TTGX are maybe for the engine or route and can be ignored. Using the TTGX and following numbers from that, the phone tracker a few hours later was close to the same location he showed me on the map in VINView. (Pomona, KS vs Edwardsville, KS: 60 mi. by road.)

Yes, Thanks Joe,
I did get the car number from the chat function at Ford, and they also were able to tell me that the car was in Arizona today, which tells me that it is in the States. Now it will be put on another road to head in my direction and get here, they approximate, 21-30 May. All great news.
Thanks to you and all the others for your help. Tom

Got on the railroad system and have made it to the Gateway yard in Illinois.
Have been using TTGX as rail company on the CSX network.
Todays question is; will it keep the original TTGX designation, or change to CSXT when it comes out of the yard?
This whole journey has been intriguing.
Again, thanks to all.
