For what it is worth. I have the motorcraft sensors (from Ebay) in my truck. I did not have to do any relearning or anything. the truck learned them by itself. The pressure reading is about 2 lbs lower than my old tire gauge, but all are recognized and working.
Which ones, do you have the item number or a link? I ordered a set from Ebay that said it was compatible but its not syncing up. I know its the 315mhz ones.

Wow, good info and thanks for the update.

This weekend I'm picking up some Bronco Sport wheels and tires that should be take-offs with OEM TPMS in them. I thought I'd have to buy the reset tool, but it sounds like they may just relearn/update after I put them on. Fingers crossed...
Did you manage to install Ford Bronco rims on Mav? I got same rims with sensor... Some how vehicle cNt detect any sensor

My truck never picked them up - but that could also mean that I bought them without sensors. Haven't wanted to pay to address that yet. Maybe at my first oil change, if I take it to the dealer to use my remaining points and ask them to see (but wouldn't pay for them install new OEMs - that'd be a rip).

Its weird cose before I installed rims and tires... I went to tire shop and owner checked them with his tool. They did registered on his scanner. But when I installed them I can sunk them with MY24

I had one of my tires replaced due to a puncture and bought one extra tire to replace the spare. Had a wheel that I got for free with a tpms sensor that has been dormant. Never got it to pair with the tpms learn for a long time. It’s just this recently I learned about “awakening/activating” the tpms sensor via a circular magnet with a hole and tested that just recently.

I bought a magnet from Amazon, placed the magnet where the valve stem is thru the center of the magnet, let it a bit then tried the tpms relearn process again.

Was surprised it worked. I tried the other methods such as deflating and letting your car run for a couple of miles (I even drove for days) but they never worked for me.

Check it out guys, this might be a step that you could do for yours.

Awesome. Just purchased. Can you please if you have time make few pictures how you did it. And where you placed them. Much appreciated.
It’s just outside where the valve stem is. Place it as close as you can where the valve stem is in the center of the magnet.

Will try to take photos for it and post it here.

btw, forgot to specify that I used this TPMS19 tool (not oem but it works for my Maverick):

https://a.co/d/axllhVW

Did the magnet first to activate that one specific tire that had a dormant tpms. After a few minutes, did the tpms relearn process (key on, emergency light on and off 3x).

Proceeded from front driver tire all the way around using the TPMS19 tool.

Unfortunately, there is almast no info on internet. Not a common thing of knowledge. For how long you placed magnet for? I assume all my 4 tires are dormant.

Any updates? I got the shop replaced tires on my factory rims, but I think they might just do it each corner at a time, so no mess up with the TPMS I guess, and they should be accurate.
Based on some research on Ranger forum, people there are saying there's a change from 2019 to 2020 model year. Of which the 2020 does not need to train the TPMS, it will know where each tire is at automatically.

Hate to drag this one out again, but how do you follow the TPMS reset sequence if you don't have a key ignition? Turning the button to run is not possible: it is either ON or OFF.
The truck is a 2024 Lariat hybrid. Tried it for about 30 minutes today and managed to lock the shifter up for a while (which was a whole other problem).
The wheels and sensors are alloy OEM Lariat wheels, ford sensors.
Many thanks.

Ian,
Try pressing the start button without your foot on the brake.

OK. Did not have my foot on the brake. You press the brake once. Then you start the sequence of turning it on and turning it off. The you press the brake once and the truck should enter learn mode.
I will try again, but it really didn't work. The truck never went into the learn mode.
I've done the sequence before successfully with this truck. WIsh there was something more straightforward for resetting. I did three vehicles today. The only unsuccessful relearn was with the Maverick (Buick Encore and Toyota Prius were the other two vehicles)
The frustrating part is that when you ask the net for help, AI produces garbage that does not apply to a push start Ford Maverick. Some of the worst answers are boiler plate on dealer websites.
