Updating to confirm 315 MHZ sensors worked for my Lariat.

Hello everyone! First post here, just looking for TPMS info as my dealer can't seem to verify for me at the moment. Long story short, my Maverick isn't built yet so my VIN isn't allowing them to lookup actual part numbers yet I guess, I don't know how true that is. Anyways, Ford parts website is showing two variations for 2022 Maverick: 315 MHZ & 433 MHZ

Can anyone verify which sensor is correct for my Maverick Lariat? I've got wheels and tires ready to go and would like to make sure I have the correct sensors to mount in them from the jump. Any verification is greatly appreciated! Dave

Edit to add: I have an AWD EcoBoost on order, maybe the Hybrid and EcoBoost use different frequencies?

Second edit: seems to be 315 MHZ per @JJC 's Tire Rack combo. If anyone finds something that says otherwise, please let me know!

Forgot to mention, it's an AWD EcoBoost.

I'm kind of confused as to why there are two different sensor types on a vehicle Ford was trying to assemble with absolute lowest bottom line in mind, but I digress.

Yeah, I've found both variations much cheaper on eBay for same Motorcraft sensors. Just want to make sure I buy the right ones.

I just put together a wheel/tire combo on Tire Rack, they are showing 315 MHZ for AWD Lariat. Tire Rack has been a reliable source for me in the past, hoping that their info. in this case is correct as well.

I looked just a week ago and they weren't showing options for Maverick yet. I actually purchased my wheels and tires from them but had to search using the Bronco Sport. I opted to not have them mounted/balanced as I couldn't confirm sensors would be the same. Guess that's what I get for being early to the party.

Thank you very much though! Looks like 315 it is!

Ford parts lookup even with a Vin currently on a lot doesn't seem to work yet so I would wait it out for now if you aren't built yet.

Much better price on sensors from Tire Rack, but my shopping cart shows "TPMS sensors not currently available."

I used these from Amazon.ca

CDWTPS Ford Tire Pressure Sensor, F2GZ-1A189-A Tire pressure monitoring system(TPMS) sensor replacement for Ford Ecosport,Edge,Explorer,Mustang 2015-2021(Set of 4)

Picked up a set of 2014 used Escape 17" alluminum rims to use for winter tires. They had the older style Ford sensors in them but the Mav would recognize them. I bought these and they programmed no problem.

Just in case you didn't know you need a sensor wake tool and you have to put the truck in sensor learn mode for it to see the new sensors.
For Ford's with a physical key, You can put it in TPMS learn mode with the key off, tap brake once, cycle key off to on 3 times, tap brake once, cycle key off and on three more times, horn will sound and dash will indicate learn mode. Then you use the wake up tool to activate the sensors starting drivers front and going clockwise around the vehicle. The horn will sound when the new sensor is recognized, then you move to the next tire.

TireRack showed 315mhz for me also. I would be weary of going with super cheap aftermarket ebay sensors though. You never know how accurate they are and how long the batteries inside of them will last. Would be a pain in the ass having to replace them after 2 years or so.

Hello all. Just following up with this thread. Today my service department told me that my Mav would work with either 315 or 433. I was asking because I'm going to try some 2017 Edge Sport 21" wheels. Has anyone ever heard of of a vehicle that can use either or? lol

Sorry for the late reply, but I have never heard of that. Not to say it isn't possible, I've just not heard of it. I went with the 315 sensors and while my Maverick didn't pick them up on its own, I followed a youtube video to relearn the new sensors with a Ford TPMS tool.

Let us know how it works out though, those Edge Sport 21" should look very nice on a Maverick.

Why can't you just take the TPMS sensors off of your stock wheels and put them on the new ones?
