So far the only advantage my hemi ram has over my maverick when towing my 3000 + boat is visibility when backing the unloaded trailer into the water.

I would have thought that with the Maverick being narrower, it would be easier to see the trailer fenders while backing up,,,,

Curious if you have towed with a maverick yet? With my ram,I drop the tailgate and I can see everything when backing the empty trailer in the water.with my maverick, even with the tailgate dropped and tonneau cover rolled up,I can literally see nothing! I'm relying on the mirrors and backup camera, which I'm not used to yet.my ram is old and doesn't have a back up camera.im going to install the loading posts on my trailer which I hope will help by seeing them when backing the unloaded trailer up. That being said,I can't even feel the boat back there when towing!

It's definitely harder to back a boat down a ramp compared to my 2013 ram quad, visibility definitely is lacking. The 2.0 tows as well as my ram v6. I get about 1 mpg better with the mav towing my 17 foot crestliner boat at speeds around 60 mph. The mav does it just fine but I prefer the extra visibility so I still have been using the old ram to head to the lake.

Agreed,I'm hoping the trailer posts will aid in backing the trailer.the maverick was purchased to tow the boat, and the ram will be used to tow our camper,so I didn't have to make 2 trips.
