Tool rolls

I restore old British sports cars as a hobby. Most of them came with tool kits in the form of a roll up holder. Many were quite complete for the cars of the time. I saw a thread about tools to carry in the maverick from 2021 but when I read the post about carrying a wheel chair I stopped. So the question is, if you were going to make a tool roll for your maverick what would you include?

I Actually was going to make my own pouch. I would include the common bolt and special screw sized accessories to use. Battery posts, ground posts, fuse box pullers and long nose pliers to start with.

I have a pretty standard set of extra tools for the truck but have included a shackle hitch behind the rear seat.

I'm probably going with 1/4" metric socket set, a few of the most common metric wrenches, a crescent wrench and channel locks. Ill add fuses, small LED flashlight and a ratcheting screwdriver with multiple bits. I'll think of more I'm sure.

The extensive tool kits carried by drivers in the early days aren't really needed today. Those old kits had wrenches to tighten your head bolts, adjust the points and plugs and repair your inner tubes. The driver's manuals were more like shop manuals. I read a quote from one old timer who said "In my day the owners manual told you how to adjust the valves. Today's manuals advise the drivers not to drink the windshield washer fluid."

As time goes on, and these OEM lug nuts start to swell, a 21/21.5mm flip socket, 3" extension, and breaker bar might come in handy, if the supplied lug wrench no longer fits.

Millennial , Not by a long shot , 76 years old , and not to brag , I can fix anything that could go south on my maverick ,( I have all the tools and the knowledge ) I just decided to let others do what I use to do , I,ve earned it .

Dearborn Mi. is about 31 miles +or - , from Ann Arbor Michigan , home of the NCAA football Champs .
