Took delivery today!!

Picked up my truck today. Area 51, awd xl. It's my first new vehicle since 1997. So far I am loving it! Still learning all the tech and gadgets. Android auto is quite impressive! Previous vehicle was an 2005 Titan, so the maverick seems very high tech to me....lol I had ordered it 12/31/21.

Area 51 is so snazzy, subtly altering appearance under differing lighting conditions. And I'm firmly in the camp of favoring the steelies, they telegraph "brawny."

It was my fear when I decided on it over the velocity blue was that in every photo it seemed like the color was noticeably different. That maybe I wasn't going to like the color. But I didn't want the in your face bright blue.

But when you see the area 51 in person, it looks perfect. And the lighting changes the look as you walk around it. From a blue gray to an icy blue to a sky blue. But it looks so much better than in pictures when the color is locked in.

Is really a great color.
